After a successful showcase at the EICMA Motor Show 2024, Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to debut two Budget-Friendly Bikes at the 2025 Auto Expo. These new entrants will bolster Hero’s footprint in the competitive mid-size motorcycle segment. Let’s delve into the details of these upcoming models.
Upcoming Budget-Friendly Bikes
Hero Xoom 160
The Hero Xoom 160, an adventure maxi-scooter first unveiled at EICMA 2023, experienced development delays, pushing its launch to 2025. Now, the final production-ready version is slated to be unveiled at the Auto Expo.
The Hero Xoom 160 stands out with its tall windscreen, dual LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and pronounced front beak, which accentuates its sporty Appearance. With 14-inch wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres, this scooter is equally at home in the city and on weekend getaways, making it a versatile and intriguing choice for riders.
On the technology front, the 2025 Hero Xoom 160 comes packed with features, including a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, keyless ignition, and a lock-unlock function. The designers haven’t overlooked practicality, enhancing the utility offerings with an extended seat, generous under-seat storage, and a floor-mounted fuel tank.
Under the hood, the Xoom 160 houses a 156cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers 13 bhp and 13.7 Nm of peak torque. Disc brakes at both ends handle braking duties, and Hero’s i3S silent start technology supports them.
Hero Xtreme 250R
Sharing the spotlight at the Auto Expo will be the Hero Xtreme 250R, the most powerful motorcycle in Hero’s Xtreme lineup. The team previewed this aggressive and sharp-looking bike at EICMA 2024.
The Hero Xtreme 250R is a powerhouse. Its brand-new 250cc liquid-cooled engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox, produces an impressive 30 bhp and 25 Nm of torque. The bike’s premium build, including golden upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, ensures a balanced and responsive ride, promising an exhilarating experience for enthusiasts.
Other highlights include 17-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth and navigation, and clip-on handlebars for a sporty stance. The Xtreme 250R promises to deliver both style and substance for enthusiasts.
